Sky Q connection failures

Since our property was upgraded to to Sky fibre with the associated change from old Sky router to Fibre specific router we are seeing a pattern of failures with Sky Q connections.

Most days at around 4 or 5pm the Sky Q mini box with show a screen saying that either the network connection has failed or the connection to the Q box has failed. Normally this can be sorted out with a 'power off and on' reboot but it is becoming very monotonous and a little annoying in its repetitiveness.

I have 2 Sky boosters in the house and they seem to drop the wifi connection around the same time too but Im not sure if this is connected.

If anyone has a setting change fix or any ideas that may help I would be very grateful.

Hi @pete+h124

First reset your broadband router.
If your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router.
If you are on Sky Broadband with the new Sky Max router then you need to connect it as if it is a 3rd party router.
On 3rd party (non Sky  or Sky Max router) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

Third party WiFi boosters or the Sky Max boosters will not help to connect minis which must be connected by WPS to the main Q box.

Had the same thing for a long time with a non-Sky router. I use powerline adapters
