I have seen this problem before but can't find it now.
Today we had trouble with recordings and I tried restarting the box. Now it won't reboot. It keeps looping to a blue screen that says 'When the screen goes blank press home to get started'. It goes blank then loops back to the same screen.
I have done a software update.
I saw on the previous post that a new box was needed. Please help.

Mines done the same I think a firmware update has broken some versions of q boxes engineer coming Monday fully expect new box

I've got the same problem. I've tried unplugging the TV and Sky Q box and updating the software several times but all that happens is that the box simply cycles round the same 3 sets of screens endlessly. We've also left the box turned off for several hours but it's still the same. Can you help, please? I'm convinced it needs at least an engineer to come to it. Or maybe even a replacement box.

My problem was resolved this morning with a new Q box. Old one was done for.
