Sky Q box downgrade charge

Is there any good reason why, when wanting to downgrade from a 2tb uhd box to a 1tb. I should still be expected to pay a £99 fee?

Hi @Banner99   Why on earth would you want to downgrade a 2TB box to to 1TB one? As for the cost, Sky can charge anything they like as long as the market accepts it.

Because I believe the 1tb UHD boxes are all version 3 q boxes that don't have the power adaptor. Due the where our sockets are, we currently have the brick hanging off the wall

@Banner99 if you are looking at changing a 2TB non HDR box (32B0xxx) for a 1TB HDR box this is not considered a downgrade but an upgrade

I can't thnk of any other reason to change a 2TB box for a 1TB box

I see you replied whilst I was typing

Hi @Banner99   So a cheap extension lead or £99. The cost is also probably also a deterrent to save them the hassle of delivery and return stocking etc.

That would make sense but they were initially happy to send out a 2tb box to rectify this. Unfortunately it was also a V2 box so same problem. The big issue seems to be swapping a 2tb for a 1tb. I'm sure they have there reasons. Just seems ridiculous to me
