Sky Q and ethernet

I would my main sky q box to use it's ethernet connection from my router to seed up streaming services. This seemed to work when i turned off wifi in the hidden settings menu. Connection to netflix all was instantaneous etc.

However, turning off wifi essentially killed my sky q mini boxes, which are connected via wifi. I had assumed they were connected to the main sky q box on it's own discrete network (i guess not).

When i have both ethernet cable connected and wifi enabled, my speed speed seems dictated by the wifi connection,. so i guess it's not using the ethernet connection when wifi is enabled?

Anyway, is there a way to set up so my main box gets the benefit of ethernet speed from the router, and i can still use the mini boxes via wifi (ethernet connection not an option).

Thanks.

Hi @Robbob123   Do you have Sky broadband, if not then simply turn off 2.4GHz only. The Sky Q Mesh uses 5GHz.

Hi @Robbob123   The Sky Q box uses 2.4GHz with BT routers, so turn off 2.4GHz and then it should use 5GHz to connect to your Mini boxes and connect using Ethernet.
