Hey everyone. Quick question. Curently I have Sky Q main box connected via ethernet direct to router. I also have one Sky Q mini connected direct to router and one that is on wifi. I want to be able to connect all minis etc via ethernet and not use them via Wifi as I think ethernet is more stable. Is this the right way to do it or should the minis be connected DIRECT to the Sky Q nain box? If they are how do I do this seen as the Sky Q main box only has one ehternet port, or am i doing it correct by connecting everything to the main router?
Cheers folks!

Hi @Markh1968
When all boxes are connected by Ethernet to your router you can then switch off all Q box WiFi. Connection can be done directly or through simple unmanaged Ethernet switches. If on Sky Broadband then WiFi can be left on.
Start with main Q box and first carry out a Network reset with the Ethernet connected.
Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Select connect wired to non Sky Router (or Sky router if on Sky Broadband). Do not carry out any WPS and just wait for the box to connect. It may take a couple of minutes. If it does not connect there is an issue with the Ethernet connection.
As soon as it connects go into the Q box hidden menu and turn off WiFi if you are not on Sky broadband.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Go to Network to turn off both bands of WiFi. Confirm before exit.
Repeat the network reset on any minis in the Mini Home menu with the Ethernet connected. Again do not do any WPS and just wait for it to connect.
If you are not on Sky broadband then immediately it is connected go into the mini hidden menu (same procedure as above) and turn off both bands of WiFi. Confirm before exit.

We do feel that ethernet is more stable & do recommend it where possible.
All the minis & main box must be on the same network - this doesn't matter where physically they connected.
A simple unmanaged switch at whatever location works best for you (by the router, by the main box or elsewhere) should suffice.
Note do not get a 'managed' switch as SKY Q is known to have problems with these
