Sky Q and Ethernet Connection

I've connected my Sky Q box to my Sky hub via ethernet cable, however whilst it connects initially it soons starts to disconnect and then jumps to connecting via wifi, why is this? I can't switch off the Sky Q wifi as it connects (intermittently when it feels like it) to a Sky Q mini box. Why are Sky Q products so poor and unreliable in their connections?

For reference, I've restarted/rebooted/reset all items in the chain and still the same outcome.
