What software version are your boxes running?

You can check in Home > Settings > System info

Q33 has just started rolling out, so they should at least be on Q32. You can ignore the rest of the numbers.

OK, that's the same for most people currently as it takes a few weeks for updates to roll out.

However the instability is likely something else then. Who is your broadband with? Have you restarted your router/hub? Have you added or changed anything recently to your home network?

Are any faults reported in the MySky app under 'Check your services'?

It could be connected to that change, in the sense that the new router may be interfering in some way with the mesh that the Sky Q system generates itself on the 5ghz band.

Or, much like the trouble some people have with the latest EE routers in the U.K., when you introduce WPA3 security, WiFi 6 or 7, but the networking kit in the Q boxes is built to a much older standard.

Is the main Q box hard wired or using WiFi? Can you adjust the 5ghz band on your new router so it isn't clashing with the Q WiFi mesh? Q uses 80MHz on channel 36.

Re: Sky Q Slow top change channels

Main box is hard wired to the router , will try to get into the router to check the frequensy

You can also turn off the 2.4ghz band then on the main Q box and the mini.

Ethernet from Eir router > Main Q box > Q mini connects to 5ghz mesh generated by main box

Re: Sky Q Slow top change channels

When you say turn off 2.4 on main box , do you mean turn off wifi hotspot ? if so this is off. Ive hust checked channels and frequency on modem and doesnt appear to be any clash . Everything seems as you suggest but still seem to have delay in change . I can see box connected through ethernet on modem dashboard

OK.

Difficult to diagnose then this one. Might be a case of waiting to see if Q33 makes a difference and then contacting Sky if not.

You have done all the resets, looked at optimising the network, checked for updates etc.

Another user might have a suggestion that can help, but I would be directing you to Sky at this point as it could simply be a hardware fault developing.

That said, I would hope that would show up in the service checker.
