The SKY text assistant got back to me. He said he was on his break (he could have told me he was going on his break as that would have explained the delay......) Afer this response from him I give up....Ps what I had asked him to check was whether SKY was aware of a wider problem with their apps.
''Thank you xxxx as I have checked we did not get this issue come up to us. Also you do not have the Netflix package with us where you have it with directly with Netflix. So you will need to call Netflix directly xxxx is there anything else you need me to help you with?''

Does this person actually work for Sky TV? It looks like a child's reply to a question.

Unbelievable, isn't it?
How on earth a Sky representative can say this (after checking? Really?) beggars belief.

Perhaps they could look at Post 315 on this thread - from a Sky employee a thread moderator.
There seems to be no policy within Sky for outstanding issues to be disseminated among support staff.

Unless I have a very basic problem I'm staying away from Sky help in future.

Sorry I'm not sure whether the text transcript I posted can actually be seen.
Basically, after telling me to follow up with Netflix as it's them I have my account with I pointed out that when I watch netflix on my phone, laptop and tv app it is perfect but when I watch it on Sky there's constant pixalation. He replied with the simple message 'there was a issue which has been sorted now'.
Don't hold your breadth!

TV is pixelating when viewing Netflix or Amazon Prime Video.
@ClownTrigger1 I have moved your post to the large thread all about your problem see the post on page 1 marked the answer for the most up to date information Sky have posted about this problem

Hi I have this problem as well. When using the Apple TV app the whole screen goes green and then comes back, ITVX & Amazon Prime pixellate randomly. I can use the aformentioned apps from the Smart TV but would prefer to use through SKY is possible as the TV is more clunky

So, after experiencing pixellating watching Netflix through the Sky Q app and 355 posts later - it looks like Sky havent yet recognised there is a significant issue. It happens pretty much continually throughout a 1 hour programme.
I've tried updating the system software for now, but I'm not pinning much hope on that.
All the more frustrating is that it seems to be a new issue, so something must have changed recently at Sky's end.

I don't know if this thread is good news or bad news.
Until I stumbled on this thread, I thought it was just me.
I thought that either the box was finally giving up the ghost or we were doing something wrong.
I have done a software update (I've done multiple updates) of the Sky Q box and it didn't fix it.
I have bought a new / expensive HDMI cable, hoping that it would address the issue - it didnt
I even swapped TV sets, wondering if the TV was the issue. - it wasn't
None fixed the repeated issue - the stream pixelates sporadically from the main box whenever viewing through an app - Prime, Netflix, Disney.
No pixelation through the repeater boxes.
Streamed services are borderline unwatchable.
Two months of it being discussed - and no solution.

Just joining the thread as started noticing the issues with ITVx, IPlayer etc. we've paid for this months ITVx to skip ads for Grace, Tower etc so not happy!
forced an update this morning - so have
Q270.000.08.00L(5u193hm)
and have done an App refresh - will see if issue persists
just happy it's not just us!

Just wanted to add I'm having the same problems with Sky Q streaming Apps.

The more the merrier!
Sky need to be disabused of the notion that it's a problem only afflicting a minimal number of users.
