Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
I must say that this issue has made me look at Stream - despite initially being sceptical - but it still seems to be a work in progress and with some limitations.

Bad picture quality on Netflix, Amazon & Paramount, You Tube is ok
Over the past month or so we are experiencing picture breaking up, like mosaic effect/pixel problem? On any channel that is streamed, Netflix, Amazon and Paramount, You Tube ok.

As discussed in other threads, if the satellite company SES doesn't choose to invest several hundred million pounds in orbital hardware to replace the Astra 28.2E cluster before the end of this decade, all satellite television broadcasting to the UK will cease.

topic: Sky Q Apps pixelating
Hi - I have several apps such as Disney and prime pixalating a lot while playing.
I have the router wired into the SkyQ box and and getting speeds of 300+. That helped for about a hour (previously via WiFi, with speeds of only 34mbps). It can get quite distracting at times.
We have a 3rd party for internet and o ly halpenes when watching through SkyQ
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
I've been getting the same issue on all Apps for a while, then you get an email that your price is going up by 15%. #Joke.

Having the same issue. Apps are all pixilating while watching anything. Internet is working fine.

I have the issue too on Netflix via the Sky App with internet of 290Mbps. Doesn't seem to happen with Discovery + but haven't watch that much.

Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
I had this problem on streaming apps Netflix, Disney, prime and paramount plus. Had a sky q box change but the problem has returned. It's slightly raining today but the affect on the picture pixelation is horrendous. I understand that heavy rain and snow on the dish can cause issues but surely light rain shouldn't be a big deal....

Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
Those apps don't use your dish, they use your broadband connection.
But - I have the same issue, and it's really turning me off Sky completely, it's been months now. Same apps are fine on tablet, PC, TV, just not SkyQ box. This needs some serious attention.

Out of interest, when you had your Sky Q box changed, how long were your apps working for before the problem returned?

Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
Same issue.
No issues at all using any other device.
As we watch about 90% of our TV this way (via SkyQ) and very little actual Sky TV, only keeping it and the channels we keep re-contracting with out of habit, I think it's about time to move on now that the choices are there

Re: Sky Q Apps pixelating
So a quick follow up from me, after replacing our Sky Q (2017) box with a new one, the problem has disappeared for us.
