I too have the same problem. Pixelated picture on netflix and prime video when watching through Sky Q box, but not when watching on the smart tv. Pixelation occurs when the box is wired to the router, or connected over WiFi. I'm running the latest software on the Sky Q box.

Similar issue. Noticed the issue originally when watching Prime but now also happening with Netflix. Would it be too much to ask Dan (sky employee @Daniel-F ) who said on 30th July he was going to get the matter looked into to give us an update? Even if it's just to say that Sky are still looking into the issue? I'd consider that basic customer service?

@RFCally191 What software version does that update put you on?

I have another SkyQ box elsewhere. The problems there, highlighted in this thread, aren't apparent (although noticeably in the other one, see p10). Given that different manufacturers make the hardware, it makes me wonder if the fault is specific to one particular company's SkyQ boxes. Just a thought...

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs far as I know, they are still looking at the issue.
Netflix has been fine for me, as has Disney+. The only offender in our house is Prime, but I only use the apps to check what is happening, I stopped using them regularly a long time ago.
I know it is not for everyone and yes, we are paying top dollar so it should work, but if you can use another device for app viewing then it is highly recommended.

What is strange is it seems to be my main sky q box as the mini boxes are ok

Same issues with me. I wonder if it has to do with the age of the Q boxes? We have had ours for ages.

I doubt it Tracey, my box was only replaced about 2 years ago.

That's true Steve. I've starting using apps on TV for prime and netflix. I just find it a little annoying that it is obvious that SKY most be aware of this problem but haven't provided any information or update. I was going to ring them and in fariness I do find their Customer Service agents friendly and helpful but I think I'll be wasting my time as they can only do a standard check and I think this may be a bigger issue. This is the first time I've being diasppointed with Sky. Hopefully they can 'bounce back' and surprise me! I know they are a bit on the dear side but I think generally they provide a decent service and I'd be reluctant to move.

I'm having the same issue with pixelating especially on Disney plus & Amazon prime its so frustrating it seems to be getting worse too I've tried doing all the things that have been suggested updating & refreshing apps but it's no different I haven't had the same issues on Netflix at least not yet anyway I keep coming back to this thread in the hope that sky are actually doing something about it?
23 Aug 2024 04:37 PM
I keep coming back too....but still no change ☹️

Update from me ....... 😞
I've got the issues on prime , Disney , netflix and now YouTube !
I do not have access to view the apps on my TV other than on sky like some users do.
Please @Sky resolve this it's been going on long enough.
Will be going down a formal complaint route and looking at alternative supplier for both TV and broadband as this is getting unacceptable.
Apologies all I'm just at my wits end with this as I can't enjoy my movies and programmes anymore 😕

Have the same issue. I've also had my Sky Q box replaced which hasn't helped and the issue is still ongoing. All the mentioned apps are doing it as is ITVX. We're trying to watch through Arrow and it's unbearable at times.
