Sky Q 2TB box behaving erratically
Noticed the box doing wierd things and just being slow. Symptoms are;
Taking time to switch between channels. Sometimes upto 40 seconds
Pausing or rewinding a program the screen goes blank or the screen freezes
Doesnt record all programs set in the schedular
Taking a program off record or series link doesn't take the R or green 2 way arrows for series link off
Some thumbnails in the home screen dont appear, this is the same under "recent rocordings"
Ive done the standard support for dummies.. turn it off and on again (unplugging from mains and turning back on after a couple of mins). Anyone able to offer any pointers?

Hi @Dubzzy
Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.
Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.
Resetting the settings will also reset:
Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

Re: Sky Q 2TB box behaving erratically
I've done the first option reset as described above and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
In the last few days I've had my broadband service and router changed. Could this be affecting it? Does the Sky Q box need a regular and consistent broadband connection to run smoothly? what features would need broadband connection. I know things like catch up, apps (Iplayer/Youtube) and streaming would need broadband connection. My Sky Q box is connected to the router by Ethernet cable, and even though it is anew broadband service and router, it is being picked up by all my devices (including this laptop I using to post here.

Re: Sky Q 2TB box behaving erratically
Another issue I have discovered is that my recordings arent showing, I cant see them. I cant see them on the home screen under "your recordings" and I can't see them in the recordings menu/tab under "recent recordings". Just see the message please wait and a wheel going around forever.
Rather than me go throough self help guides on the Sky website, which i have briefly done (and so tedious) aswell as searching for a Sky TV helpdesk number, is anyone able to provide me with a Sky Q support phone number?
thanks in advance
