Sky F1 HD vs UHD

I have recently upgraded to Q from Sky +HD and have taken my F1 sub with me. When my box was installed the engineer told me as they don't make the HD box anymore I had a UHD / HDR box, which I have since setup with my TV, (Panasonic UHD / HDR). All good so far.

I set my box to record the Chinese Sprint in UHD, but when I came to watch it, I get a message saying you don't subscribe to this channel. I can't find any useful info on the sky page regarding this, can anyone help?

Hi @Paul-Round   Do you subscribe to UHD? Having an UHD box doesn't mean that you can view in UHD unless you have subscribed to UHD.

...and HD is a prerequisite for that but it sounds like the OP has legacy F1 via HD pack.  (Which will mean being 'out of contract')

Any subscription changes may remove the legacy entitlement.  Dilemma...

Re: Sky F1 HD vs UHD

As I have just taken a Q box, I am now back in contract. Good point about the UHD sub, I shall take that out.

Note that whatever the sales advisors might say, legacy 'free' F1 typically does not survive the platform move.

Can you watch any of the catchup F1 stuff in HD?

by the way, F1 in UHD/HDR is stunning.

So it sounds like your F1 subs did make it across. Just need to pay the extra £4 or whatever it is now for UHD
