Sky - we love you - we do!
I've been a customer for twenty years, and the service has been excellent.
Except for one mad thing you did.
Network mesh across Sky Q is not helpful.
So I've turned Wi-Fi off on all my boxes; they are all on ethernet. Most of the time, it's glorious.
But now and again, you try to bridge my whole network through the boxes, breaking everything. Updates? or something?
Please please please please please please
I kindly request an option to disable all ethernet bridging and, if necessary, to manually input the IP address of the main SkyQ box for direct connection from the minis.
Give me the source code for Q, and I'll write it for you for free!
Thanks,
Neil.

@Harry+Callahan You areaware you are not contacting Sky's customer services on here, this is a customer to customer forum where customers help each other.
I really doubt that your request will be added to the Q boxes but worth a try 😁

Unfortunately SKY Q is only likely to get minimal/necessary updates going forward
SKY's development is centred on newer products siuch as Glass/Stream

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs mentioned above, Sky Q is not going to be making any future design changes like that.
It is now in its mature and stable stage.
It wil be more I expect about adding content ( new apps and content drivers like sky Sports+) and making fixes that are more to do with Sky backend services, if any software gets pushed out.
The internal Sky Q mesh was set to work like that and it would break the viewing for many users if any major design changes were made.
I'm sure Airties who license and designed the Sky Q mesh technology would also not be willing to change any of the firmware or technology at this settled stage in the Sky Q product.
