@Anth+worton

The Q system will never get upgraded to support UHD on the minis as the whole boxes will need changed.

I'm pretty sure the Sky Stream / Glass pucks support UHD?

Sky Q 2TB UHD, 2X Mini Box, Sky BB UF1, Booster 4

@Anth+worton  As per @Dallen9798  reply the mini's are unlikley to ever be updated, for UHD in each room you'd need Sky Stream where all the stream puck support UHD, however as these are not using a satellite signal you'd need decent broadband speeds as the below table shows.

Package:   minimum broadband speeds:
HD   25Mbps
HD + 1 puck or additional Glass TV   30Mbps
UHD   30Mbps
UHD + 1 puck or additional Glass TV   35Mbps

Re: Second Uhd box?

I currently have the Sky Q 2TB UHD, 3x Mini Box, but I've upgraded 2 other TVs in my home and it's annoying I can only watch hd on them when they support uhd. I hear virgin can support upto 2 uhd boxes. I can't understand why sky can't do the same

@Anth+worton  VM boxes are newer and use a different system entirely to Sky Q.

They could but I doubt they'll invest in upgraded Q hardware - for multiple UHD the route is now glass/stream.  (But no recording)
