Have you tried a reset on the Q box by pulling out the power lead and leaving it for at least 5 minutes before plugging back in?

Is anything else plugged into the TV that works?
Assuming the TV works as it should, if you can't get anything out of the Q box after changing the HDMI and a power reset then you might need an engineer.
To do things like a software update requires your to be able to use the remote and see what you are doing.

Think I will call Sky for an engineer as it's not responding .

Is HDMI 1 where the Sky Q box is connected to?
