Your post is a little confusing but suffice to say a satellite dish is required for Sky Q and Sky+. They are delivered via the dish.

Hi @Harley_rice
Unfortunately SKY Q (& SKY HD) need a dish.
The only time you don't need one specifically on your apartment/house is if there is a Dish feeding a communal system (such as an apartment block or for some housing schemes)

Re: Satellite Dish
So there is no possible way off me getting SKY Q is there a indoor satellite dish that I can open a window and let it get the channels?

no - Satellite signals are very weak & you need direct line of site of the Satellites
If they do not allow dishes on the property it might be worth enquiring whether they have provided a communal system for residents

Re: Satellite Dish
It will not work without a proper Sky supplied satellite dish or a communal dish supplied through your landlord or management company.

Sorry a communal system is not device you can get from stores or ebay - it is a significant cost of cabling and electronics - normally used for apartment blocks providing feeds to each apartment, but occasionally for some modern housing estates

Re: Satellite Dish
@Harley_rice You seem to be intent on ignoring the advice provided. You need a dish located outside the property, it will not & can not work indoors.

Re: Satellite Dish
'Portable' satellite television dishes do exist for situations such as mobile homes, but are essentially entirely impractical for domestic use, particularly indoors where the likelihood is there's no line-of-sight to the broadcast satellite orbital location anyway.
Any 'aerial' you see advertised is for digital terrestrial television ('Freeview') broadcasting from a local mast and absolutely cannot be used to receive Sky.
