Does SKYQ COME WITH HD or is that an extra fee?
My SK+HD box doesn't work and suffice to say I could never download anything in HD so was prompted to upgrade. You'd think (foolishly) HD would come as standard with something named SKY+HD. So, the next thing up from that is SKYQ. Have ordered and waiting for installation.
My broadband contract is up too apparently. When my TV contract ended I was sent letters giving options. One of which saved me 10-15 quid. Suffice to say the website failed to let me choose an option and my 'package' remained the more expensive option. Surprise surprise. Now, the renew my TV and Broadband contract is offering 106 pm, my next bill is set for 119. The customise your package section shows HD is showing as 0.00 (one month) and then 9.00 after that. Ultra HD 0.00 (one month) then 13 after that.
Is the HD/Ultra HD worth it?

SKY Q is not a subscription & generally the subscriptions on SKY Q are the same as on SKY HD (although of course UHD is available)
SKY Multiroom on SKY HD is different to SKy multiscreen on SKY Q - Multiscreen is a single sub covering multiple boxes and other devices unlike the per box multiroom
the SKY HD add on is thus an optional add on just like on SKY HD. the UHD sub is on top of the HD sub and the £13 mentioned is actually £9 for HD +£4 for the UHD on top
You may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q
BTW if you don't have the HD add on then to avoid being prompted to upgrade when downloading from most channels it is best to change the download preference to SD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences
(the default is HD)
(Please note this setting can only be set on the Main box)
