Rubbish signal for last couple of weeks
Are we just unlucky or are sky reducing their signal to push us onto Glass?
last2 or 3 weeks, we have had rubbish reception. Yes I know there are atmospheric conditions, but in 20 years it has never been this bad, I am suspicious that this is part of the push towards full streaming/ Sky Glass.
conspiracy theory or just rubbish dignss as l?

Are we just unlucky or are sky reducing their signal to push us onto Glass? Of course not!!! If Sky reduced their signal as yopu put it (which they actually can't as they don't control the satellites they use), then there would litterally be 1000's of posts about signal issues

Certainly no reduction of signal @south4soul
If it was the forum would be riddled with complaints.
Have you checked that vegitation growth or tree growth isn't starting to block line on sight of your satellite dish.
If not, best to contact Sky for an Engineer to check your dish

@south4soul as the satelitte signal is used by millions of people if Sky reduced the signal(if they are even able to do this) then do you not think millions of people would be on here complaining about this ?

Re: Rubbish signal for last couple of weeks
@south4soul This is a snapshot of Tp 50 back in June 2021 compared to this evening, received on my dish. As all satellites transmit a test beacon signal, the uplinks can use automatic power compensation in order to compensate for atmospheric losses encountered in the uplinks to the satellites.

@Missiemoo2020 You've posted on a thread for Sky Q which receives satellite signals, not sure how thisn would affect receiving calls?
