Remote will not activate Sky

Remote will not turn Sky on.

Batteries are new.

Mini box is on.

tried pressing 1&3 and get the red flashing but cannot follow any steps as no screen

Hi @BarrieW   Have you tried resetting the remote by holding down 7 & 9 until the led flashes 4 times. Then make sure that the remote can see the box, then try 1 & 3 again. Note you can also pair the remote using the menus.
