Just received a new replacement Sky Q box and doesn't work. Getting message 'no satellite signal' - what should I do?

A message displaying “no satellite signal” relates to your Sky Q box, so firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check the troubleshooting in this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish.
If you are connected to a communal dish you’ll need to liaise with you building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.
Note: A misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels.

My previous issue with old box was 'hard disk error'

Hi @Jonathan06
Obviously you have had to remove and replace the cables fin the back of the Q box.
Switch the box of at the mains and remove both connections from the back of the Qbox.
Carefully check the the central conductor in the F connectors is not bent or touching the cable screen or connector casing.
It should be straight and protruding by 2 to 3 mm.

If you have a communal dish the chances are that the LNB type is not set incorrectly
You need to check/change the LNB type to SCR - this is in an engineer's menu
To access it :
press Home
Scroll to Settings - but do not press enter/select at this point
Press 0 0 1 in sequence followed by the Enter/ select button
you should now get the engineer's menu
Select the LNB Type & set to SCR if necessary
After changing the LNB type power down your SKY Q box and restart it for the change to come into effect
