Replacement q box when we fist plugged it in made a clicking noise we lifted it up and a piece of white plastic fell out, we can only get as far as the hello in black don't get as far as blue screen.

Sounds like you'll need to contact Sky for another replacement.  (I suspect there a no longer any brand new boxes to supply)

Might be worth resetting your remote so see if that allows you to continue.

Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

Thanks tried all that even got it to 2 of 2 software update but not a thing happens. It's so hard to get answers from sky thinking about quitting altogether after 25 years.

Hi @Cjw3   This Article shows you how to cancel your subscription(s). Of course, it involves you having to get in contact with Sky. They don't make it easy.
