Freezes on standby

Sky Q box keeps freezing. There is a green light on the box but no signal to the TV. 

The remote is working fine and works again once I turn the mains plug off and back on. This has been ongoing now for a couple of months and now needs sorting as I shouldn't need to continue to hard reset the main box which then impacts my two mini boxes.

So you're aware this is a customer-led help forum - you are not contacting Sky customer services.

 

If you want a box swap you'll have to contact them.  Remember to remove your viewing card if a swap is arranged (and check power supply as some boxes have a brick to supply power).  You will lose all recordings.

 

Alternatively, there are some reset procedures to try first if you wish?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
