Re: Poor vision

For some reason he could see almost everything much much clearer than watching a SL game every week.I was wondering because it was broadcast from USA does that alter the quality etc of the broadcast ??

Too many variables and not enough detail to provide an effective comment tbh...

Does he have HD on his home installation and a good quality TV? How far was he from the two TVs and how big are they?

Re: Poor vision

He has HD and a new 50 inch tv,just the one and he sits about 4 feet from the tv.The mystery is that it was just that particular broadcast which was live from Las Vegas that he was able to see much clearer than normal.

Re: Poor vision

Was it just the on screen text that was clearer or the whole broadcast?

I thought the picture quality looked lower than normal, not surprising as Sky were using coverage from Fox in Australia, and the match was taking place in Las Vegas, so it was going all over the world before getting to the UK. However the on screen graphics from Fox were bigger than the normal UK graphics, perhaps that's why it seemed clearer?

Re: Poor vision

It was the whole broadcast and to use his words he could even see the ball.I guess this is going to stay a mystery.

Oh sorry I thought, "he watched the Super League game ,wigan v warrington, from Las Vegas" meant that he was in Vegas watching it.

hmm maybe they use 4k cameras over there and downscale it, giving a better result.

Edit: just saw xenon81's reply. Hmm, weird.
