Do you have HD/UHD subscription?

Free channels such as BBC, ITV are broadcast in HD regardless.  There should be little difference between them and Freeview.

What display mode are you using from the Q?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Which settings specifically have you changed/set? Is the box outputting 2160p?

@Malg2 try changing the Sky Q box to either 1080i or 1080p and see if that makes any difference

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

1080i/p often looks better on LG TVs. 2160p can look too soft and lacking in detail. It's a shame the Sky box can't automatically switch to 2160p when watching UHD then back to 1080 for HD.
