I have downloaded the latest software version on the main box and is now showing as version Q270. I am still receiving the technical issue message when trying to access the red button features. I have put the box in standby and resstarted the box as instructed. I also have two mini boxes. Do I have to do the same process of downloading the new software to resolve the issue?

hi @JN4
All boxes should be at Q270
It may now just be a case of wiating for the apps to refresh which can take up to a day or so
Although initiating a refresh again shouldn;t do any harm
The first thing to check is that you can access the new SKY sports app from the app sextion.
Once you can access it OK from there to see if you can accesse from the (...) & then see if the red button works

Is it possible to view the date on sky q. Top left corner of the screen only shows the word sky and the time.

Not as straight forward as you might think
There may be a better way but one way is to select the (...) button right of the home button & select the weather app & then Select it to go full screen
