Re: Not connecting to internet

Exaact same problem here other than I have wired ethernet connections to both the Q and the Mini box.

No internet connection on both boxes and neither reconnects after trying all the above (other than wifi).

Re: Not connecting to internet

I have exactly the same problem; the internet is green on the Sky hub but, Q box has no connectivity. However, desktop, laptop etc are all connected. The problem started on Thursday 5th September. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Not connecting to internet

I have same problem. Worked fine for months until the other night. Been through all the recommended resets, switched everything on off etc and just end up with a message saying I may have to get a Sky Q booster.  My broadband is SKY

Re: Not connecting to internet

I had an issue connecting a new box to WiFi and tried all the normal suggestions to no avail.
While I was waiting for a replacement box I decided to look at the Sky Q router setup.
On the 2.4GHz WiFi Settings page, under WiFi Settings, there is a pull-down to select the Bandwidth. Mine was set to 40MHz. The alternative setting is 20MHz/40MHz. I selected this option, applied the new setting and retried the connection. It worked!

My previous box had no issue connecting with the previous settings.
Whether this was pure luck, I have no idea.
Can anyone explain why this would have made a difference?

Re: Not connecting to internet

I have exactly the same problem, it will not recognise my router, if you still owe money on your sky glass then it still belongs to Sky, that being the case they should fix it or replace it. Strange how this has not hit the news or the press but then again you only have to look at who owns Sky and also large numbers of media outlets and newspapers. Is there a connection.

Re: Not connecting to internet

I have a problem every day with my internet plugging and unplugging switching on and off.  Mostly in the mornings but it works late at night.  Do I have to change my password ?

Depends which router you have. Normally you just type the IP address of your router (shown as "gateway" on a computer's ip network settings) into the browser address bar. You will need to login so know the admin credentials for the router, and navigate its menu which varies by manufacturer/device.
