No thumbnail images

Sky q has been unresponsive for a coiple of days. It started by not loading thumbnail images, and is now taking an absolute age to process any input. If I enter netflix, or change a chanel. It continues to play the audio for the previous channel for 60 seconds or more. In addition to this, I'm constantly getting there is a technical issue with this channel messages. This even happens with recordings and purchases.

Have you tried rebooting your box? Turn it off at the wall for a few minutes then power it back on and allow it to restart. 

If it's still sluggish then you may need to order a replacement box.

  • Yes. I've tried all of the instructions on the forums and help topics, several times, with no change. Eventually I managed to contact an actual person. I went through the various required resets with them again. It appears that the box is faulty and they are sending me a replacement.

In that case remember to remove the viewing card from the faulty box before it disappears into the back of the couriers van and accept any new power cable DPD deliver with the replacement box in case it's different to the one you have.
