No satellite signal after sky broadband installed

We changed to sky broadband on 8/6 and that evening we had an error message saying no satellite signal on both sky q main box and mini

SKY Q Satellite signal is totally independent to any Broadband/internet connection.

Check that the cables from the satellite dish are properly connected.  

I suggest you also try a power down restart:

First try your main SKY Q box :

 Use the remote to place it into standby mode

 Then remove the power to it (either switch off at mains or remove the power plug)

 Wait at least 30s

 Then re-apply the power & wait for it to fully restart - this may take a few minutes.

Once the main box is restarted do the same power down on the mini box if needed

BTW The mini relies on the main box for it's satellite signal so if the main box has no signal the mini will be the same

Then you'll need Sky to come and check the dish/LNB.  It's a total coincidence with the broadband though...
