New box

Hi I am getting a new sky box delivered as mine isn't working it says have the other item ready for a speedy exchange with your driver.. guessing this means I've to give them the old box??

Yes for sure @Kay33 

Make sure you remove and keep the viewing card for the replacement if it is the main Q box.

Thanks he didn't mention giving the box back on the phone  so wasn't sure. No clue what I'm doing haha

Sorry another question do I give them the wires etc too or just the box? No idea if I get new ones lol

Don't worry about the wires @Kay33 .

You could make sure the replacement includes a remote control.  If not just keep the one you have.

The DPD driver will take the new box out of its packaging and put the faulty box in the same packaging.

Hi @Kay33 

Just have the old box ready when they deliver the new one.

Its a doorstep swap so take the new one out of the box and put in your faulty one.

The deliver should wat while you swap the Q boxes.

One thing to note - if your box is a 2TB box.

 

Some 2TB boxes need a separate power supply so before the driver leaves make sure you check the power socket on the back of the replacement & if it has a round multipin connector rather than a figure of 8 connection, make sure there is the separate power supply with it - we have seen a few posts where customers have only realised they need this after the driver has left.
