Hi @TheFairyG Because the 'Sky' Disney+ is a marketplace subscription billed separately from Sky. It also allows you to change plans by simply ticking a box.

Re: New Disney+ with Sky
@TheFairyG In case you ever want to upgrade from standard with ads to a paid tier
Many if not all subscription based apps require payment details even if you are only subscribing to free tiers or promotions Disney included if you were to go through them directly

I am sorry if you sucribing to free basic with ads Disney plus there is no need give give credit/ debit card details as it includes included in your package. Only if you want to subscribe to higher package or you transferring from direct from Disney with higher package will you be prompted to give card details after activating. When I activated my free disney subscription on my Sky box I was not asked for any card details.

Re: New Disney+ with Sky
I do have Disney+ and pay £14.99 per month. It is now included in SkyQ and if I register, it the price reduces to £5.99
I am following the instructions but am asked for my card details and it doesn't make sense if it's just included with Sky anyway. It's very confusing.

Only the basic level (with ads) is free. (Worth £5.99)
As you have a higher tier you can get it with a discount, not free... see here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/disney-plus-faqs?irct=cn-svod-disney-faq-dis-art

Hi @TheFairyG The price for the plan you are on is £9 with Sky, saving you £5.99 a month. It initially sets you on the same plan so requires payment details for the £9 a month. You can reduce it to the Standard plan (£4) or free with Ads later.
