Dear Team,
I had Sky fitted just over 3 years ago.
I need to move my side gate, however when looking the cable is through the gate and I can not remove the gate with rmthe xable where it is

Would love to see a photograph of this - sounds like a very strange cable routing!

The Image does show how you might have a problem, as the cable appears to have needed to go over the stationary part of the gate framework.
As we can only see the section around the gate it is a bit difficult to tell what options you have currently for routing the cable.
I guess a question that an installer might have is whether or not they can route a new cable as you wish suitably before you have your gate moved - maybe an option woud be live without Satellite TV between the Gate being moved (just cutting the cable after switching the box off) and an installer coming to route a new cable after the gate is moved.
It will, probably, depend on where you think the cable can be routed
SKY are likely to charge - although they may not & you may be better getting a quote from an independent installer (who are more likely to work to dates around you)
