Mini Box Electrical Failure

One of our mini boxes has failed.  I plugged it in to the mains and the connector was slightly tight, meaning that there was a tenuous connection for a few seconds before I was able to push it in all the way.  There was a faint fizzing noise and then the red light went out.  Now it shows a steady red light for few seconds whenever it is plugged in and then goes blank.  No button pressing or holding will produce any reaction.  Will Sky replace what I must assume is a defective box?
