Lip Sync issue

I have recently had my broadband updated to full fibre optic to try & help with lip sync issues but it hasnt made a difference. I have a sky Q box in my bar which is hard wired by cat 5 E cable but im still getting lip sync issues when watching movies. I have tried to adjust the TV but again its made no difference.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing the issue?

Is it worth changing the cable to Cat 6?

@Darren581  Lipsync issues won't be related to your broadband connection, therefore your post has been moved to the relevant forum, whch is Sky Q

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

How is your Q box connected to the TV?  Directly or via something else?

@Darren581  If you've tried adjusting the TV, try adjusting the Sky Q delay in the settings

Modern TV's can perform a lot of processing before displaying a picture - a good set should also delay the audio accordingly, but not always.  Turning off this processing can reduce the issue if so.

As noted above there are settings on the Q box to delay the audio (assuming that's the correct direction).

I have had sky q for years and am now getting lip sync issues. I have sonos arc and get lip sync issues with it and when I just use tv speakers.

freeview and apps are fine, it's just sky q.

i see there is a lip sync issue with the sky puc and streaming...is this connected and are sky aware and fixing?

Re: Lip Sync issue

To all, two things to try; if your Sky box is connected directly to your tv make sure the audio setting within the TV's menu is set to passthrough, not Dolby Digital. Another way, for those with a soundbar, is to try connecting the sky box directly to your soundbar which in turn should be connected to your tv's eARC port. Make sure eARC is turned on also..
