Issues with sky

We have skyQ for around a year, since Tuesday 20th June we have had alot of problems connecting to any social media such as Snapchat, Facebook and alot of gaming apps such as steam and discord.

While we are connected to the WiFi, we can not get any connection to any of the above apps, but while we are on mobile data, it works fine.

Would appriciate any help as we feel like we are paying for very little

@Laura1984222 If you have Sky as your broadband provider then you may have to change some of the age settings in  broadband shield.

You can access the broadband shield settings through the my sky app or by logging into https://www.sky.com/ then choosing broadband

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

@Laura1984222

You say you have Sky Q but do you have Sky Broadband too? Have you tried rebooting your router? Turn it off at the wall for a minute then back on and wait for all the lights to turn green.

Re: Issues with sky

Ah yes, we do also have sky broadband, apologies.

Turned everything off for 30 seconds, waited for lights and still no luck. Annoying part is that it will all work fine on mobile data, but WiFi will not connect to any social media

Re: Issues with sky

So somehow, without touching the sky broadband shield settings, they've been classed as not family friendly, turned it off and it has seemed to work for now, will leave it and see if anything changes, but thank you for your help @Laing1
