It does sound like your dish might be slightly out of alignment. Whenever a “no satellite signal” message is displayed firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check out the troubleshooting on this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish.

It’s not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels. If you’re on a communal dish you may initially need to liaise with your landlord or building management company.

Re: Issues with ITV

I'm not sure it is as the signal strength and quality is decent. It's the same levels when ITV goes all pixelated. It often corrects itself and when it does it's ok for days.  Very strange.

hi @me+in+gloucester

The signal quality info on SKY Q is slightly misleading - It does not show the strength & quality of the channel you are watching but a fixed transponder set in an engineer's menu

Re: Issues with ITV

I'm having serious signal problems when I watch ITV using my sky + box. Pixelated picture-Spoke to Sky today I'm not eligible for a SkyQ box because I live in a block of flats. This problem has got to be resolved between ITV and Sky; it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of.

hi @Psych67

This is more likely a problem with your Communal distribution system and needs to be addressed by whoever looks after your system

Also many Communal systems can be upgraded to work with SKY Q but again it is down to the Communal system being able to be adapted

Re: Issues with ITV

@nigea99  Thank you, but I was told by Sky that the Sky + box is no longer compatible with ITV channels and that other people have also reported the same issue. The best solution they said is to get a Sky Q box but as I'm not eligible they suggested I get a Sky Streaming Puck. Have never heard of this before and am inclined to change provider. I find this all too tedious.

hi @Psych67

If you only have SKY + (SD only)  box  rather than a SKY HD box then you will are likely to have lost BBC & ITV channels and will soon loose more channels as the old SD only boxes cannot decode HD channels and the SKY SD chanels that are changing transmission modes in the near future

If you have a SKY HD box then these changes should not affect you and you have been mis-informed

SKY Stream works via the internet and you need a good stable connection for that (which you may have)

Re: Issues with ITV

@nigea99 Thank you for this-I have a Sky + HD box...apologies if I lead you to think otherwise.

What do you mean by: "if you have a SKY HD box then these changes should not affect you and you have been mis-informed"?

Re: Issues with ITV

@nigea99 Just to add: I do have a good stable wifi connection, so would you suggest I go down the streaming puck route? I've never heard of this before.

Simply the response you mention from SKY

".... but I was told by Sky that the Sky + box is no longer compatible with ITV channels and that other people have also reported the same issue......"

is not applicable to you with a SKY +HD box - SKY HD boxes are quite capable of working with the ITV channels (hence my initial reply about your communal system)

SKY Stream is quite a different product  - many people like it but other people that have been used to Satellite boxes (SKY HD & SKY Q) are not so keen

I can't really advise other than suggest if you think you might switch that you do some research

BTW SKY Q also has quite a different user Interface to SKY HD that many don't like (there are other diffferences but if you can;t get it I won't link to my notes on that)

@nigea99 Thank you for both replies yesterday! Much appreciated. I'll wait to see if somebody from Sky replies to my post and take things from there. Thank you again for your input-it is much appreciated. 🙏

Sky won't respond to your post on here. There is no issue receiving ITV channels on a Sky+HD box.
