I can confirm I have this issue with both my LG and Samsung TV's. Only fix is to get down and unplug and plug back in, this is extremely annoying when your disabled. I've tried several smart plugs but can't find one that doesn't disconnect from the WiFi all the time or I'd simply switch plug on and off from my phone.
