How to check satellite is on correct position of it has been knocked ?
My satellite dish has been knocked during building work and now saying no satellite signal is there a way I can see if it is aligned before getting an engineer out?
Not unless you have the correct equipment and know what you're doing. Take a look at the troubleshooting on the appropriate section of this link. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal You will need to contact Sky and arrange for an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. Be aware that if you’re on a communal dish system you’ll have to contact your landlord or building management company rather than Sky.
