Re: Essentials package

Q essentials is £15. Essentially you are paying that for the pleasure of keeping your box and being able to record, pause, rewind etc. from free to air channels. It's sort of like having freesat but with a subscription for the hardware.

I did however manage to get a great deal and nabbed it for £7 instead. So, pretty pleased with that.

Re: Essentials package

I have just started a new rolling contract on TV Essentials for £7pm on my Sky+HD box. Hoping someone can confirm whether it should be possible to download ITV and C5 programmes to my box in HD, or is it SD only for both? After testing, it seems only BBC and C4 programmes can be downloaded in HD. Wondering if the same restriction applies to Sky Q users who have this package?

Re: Essentials package

Sky Q Signature just ended today as they wanted £24.50 for 2 year contract and maybe £4 price increase in 3 months.

Waiting for a call from them to offer Essential pack for £7 on Sky Q...otherwise its going back and getting a Freesat box from ebay

Important to note that older Freesat boxes won't work through a Q LNB: only 'Freesat 4K' hardware can do that.
