I am having a new SkyQ box being installed next week. My EE broadband is not working due to recent damage to the fibre cable. It maybe sometime before it is restored. Can the Qbox be installed without internet and can I receive some mainstream programmes through the dish until the internet is restored? Thank you.

@Beekeeper22 Engineers in the past have used their phones mobile hotspot to activate Sky Q so it is possible to be installed without the internet.
As Sky Q takes its signal for live TV from the satellite then you should get all channels the only functions you won't be able to use is catch-up/on-demand as these are downloaded over the internet and any of the apps that are on the box
I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer
Sky Q 2 TB (Silver)Box, 2 Mini boxes since June 2016, all connected by wifi
Sky Broadband Hub/SR203, Sky Ultrafast broadband
