Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Been a few weeks since I last used the Disney Plus app But went to use it tonight and it didn't put it on automatically instead the start up Disney+ page with Get Disney+ at the top and log in below so tap log in get a step 1:  QR code  for disneyplus.com/begin then below Step 2 : when prompted enter the activation code you're given. So I do all this and it just sends me to my old Disney Account I cancelled when I signed up for the free version with ads on Sky and asks me to renew my subscription. So now I'm stuck with no way of getting on Disney + unless I restart my subscription again! 😡

In case it's any help- here is what I did-  my sky box was saying I had Disney as part of my package but I still could not access it. I called sky who after talking to two different people neither could help. When pass to the third person he gave me a code and said to call Disney channel with the code. I did this and can now access Disney channel through sky q boxes

hi @tricky1961

What is it asking for ?

If you already have a subscription with Disney+ , the transfer process will keep you on the tier that your existing subscription is on & it will ask for a payment for the upgrade from the Basic with Ads tier.

For the Standard no ads it is £4 (instead of the £9.99 direct)

For Premium it is £9 (instead of the £14.99)

Once you have transferred you can reduce back to the Basic with ads tier from the next billing date (i.e. after a month) if you wish

hi @Ben288

Yes - as indicated on my post above the transfer process does assume you would want to transfer at the same tier you already have.

Once transferred you can downgrade - although starting at the  next billing date (i.e. after 1 month)

Thats cheeky of Sky !! I'll swap to EE next time and pay less

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Because of our issue (payment page not working) we never finished the process then realised we were still being billed by Disney directly. In our Disney account there were two subscriptions; our original and the Sky one, so check your accounts!

Disney have said they will refund the months where we've had the two subscriptions, so fingers crossed.

@Ben288  Please may I ask why you feel  that is cheeky ?

It is not a forced upgrade - just carrying on at the same tier that most customers want & you can downgrade afterwards

Whilst you would be Paying £4 for the Standard No ads subscription then that is less than paying direct (normally £9.99)

Even if you want to downgrade £4 for 1 month is still less than the Basic with Ads subscription direct (normally £5.99)

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Sorry. Haven't got the time to read 29 pages but I have some questions.

Right now, the D+ website still thinks I'm paying annually myself whilst the app on my Q knows I'm now paying through Sky. How do I fix that? (I tried logging into the website with my Sky-registered email address but it thinks it's a new account.)

I'm also due a refund as I was paid-up until November. How does that work?

How does Sky handle 'extra' members?

Thanks.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I know I had to cancel my existing Dplus account and change my user name by one letter to get it to work on my sky account even though I had previously stopped paying for Dplus a year before.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Well that doesn't make any sense. I mean, the two should be linked.

But Disney are now doing 6 month saver deals in the UK

Where standard is £7.99  and Premium is £10 99

Re: Reset disney account link

I have this same problem. Absolutely furious. I was told by one sky agent to buy a standalone disney account and this would become linked with my sky account - spoiler alert this is NOT the case and my poor daughter (who paid for the new account with her card) is now out of pocket.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

My free Disney+ included with my Sky package has been linked to my son’s Disney account.
I need the Sky Disney+ subscription changed so that I can activate it using my own email/Disney account.
I have already contacted Sky Customer Services and have been told that they cannot unlink or change it. However, I have found other recent Sky Community cases where the wrong Disney account was linked and the issue was escalated to the specialist team and resolved by Sky liaising with Disney.
Please can this be escalated to the team that deals with Disney+ account linking, rather than simply telling me to sign out of Disney+?
I need the existing Disney+ link to my son’s account removed/reset so that I can activate my included Disney+ using my own email address.
Thank you.
