Changing disney plus plans

Our household has had a subscription with disney plus since the beginning and pay annually. Our current subscription runs out this month so when we found out about the sky with disney plus we activated and linked accounts thinking we would have the option to pick plan but sky is asking us for £4 a month to have standard without ads as this is what we have with disney but we are happy to change to standard without ads but cant see any option to do this.any advice please? We have also gone through the links on sky q and this deals us we have disney with out ads at no cost but not linked to our disney account and I don't want multiple disney subscriptions. I have put payment details in yet so not sure where I am with sky and disney.

Hi @DeanM21   Once you have put in your payment details, just change your plan on your Sky Q box under My Sky or use the Sky Q App.

Sorry there's a lot of conflicting statements in that.

Were you told you'd have to pay £4 to keep the upgraded sub when you activated/flipped your billing over and then gave your card details to pay for that?

Upgrade Disney

Good morning.

I've got the Disney Plus standard with Sky Q and want to upgrade to premium. Do I do this through Sky or the Disney Plus website? I'm having difficulty. 🤔. Many thanks 👍

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I've taken advantage of the free Disney offer. Basic with ads. I watched "Air Force One" last night. The only ad was one lasting 30 seconds before the film started. The film had no ad breaks.

Was I lucky or is that how the ads option works on all programmes?

Sony Bravia 8 II OLED TV; Sky Q 2Gb; Arcam AVR21 AVR; Spendor D7.2 / AC2, B&W 600.3,+ Atmos, Oppo UHD203 player, AppleTV.

That seems to be normal, films on Disney & Paramount seem to have an ad at the start but then the film is shown uninterrupted.

The ad supported options really aren't bad as long as they don't become like normal TV with long breaks every 15 minutes.

If you're on Standard with or without Ads, Disney+ will still be in HD on any other devices, although you're TV may upscale it somewhat. You need the Premium tier for UHD.

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

@xenon81 , thanks! I can live with one ad at the start.

So for paying another £9/month for UHD / Atmos / HDR is something to chew over. Air Force One was only available in HD / 5.1 anyway.

Re: Changing disney plus plans

Sorry wrote very quickly. I have not gone through the payment process to link to my current disney plus subscription which is standard without ads. At the moment sky is only giving me an option to pay £4 for standard without ads but I am happy to change this to standard with ads which should cost me £0.

Probably need to manually downgrade either before or after doing the transition to Sky payments.

You need to cancel your existing Disney+ subscription before upgrading to Sky
