Hi @Bouncerdave65 It is not a legacy payment, it is a legacy billing system.

Which ever way you label it , it's still a payment that al sky sports customers are paying and they shouldn't be .

Find out moreWhen Sky made Sports HD as standard, those that had previously only chosen to have Sport in SD had £2 (I think it was) added to their Sports subscription to bring them in line with customers who were already paying for HD. Sky kept the two charges separate on bills (my guess being that it made it look cheaper).
So, yes, everyone pays for HD because the overall price includes HD. It makes little difference how it shows on bills, the price is the price however it's shown.
Personally, my Sky Sports HD shows as £0 because the last time they applied a discount they took it off the HD element rather than the Sky Sports Complete element.

I guess your in the minority then , I took sky sports complete pack at £20 , have been paying £22 since day 1 , £2 for hd , I've never agreed with the charge , now my 18 months deal is up , it's been cancelled and they won't get another penny for sports ever .

I also pay £22 but mine is all under Sky Sports Complete, with HD as £0 rather than a £20 £2 split like yours

Fair comment @Bouncerdave65 if you are not happy with the price then you could have challenged them from day one
Long story short I'm paying more than what the offers are showing via My Sky in fact I've been paying £27.00 that includes £2.00 for Sky Sports HD as I'm out of contract but still getting discounts on both subscriptions.
So I rang last night to see about a reduction in my Sky Sports Complete subscription after a few different quotes which I wasn't happy with I explained what I wanted was kept waiting and finally got a better deal had to sign up for another two years but I'll be paying considerably less on my future bills.
Roll on F1 2025. Also I'm not paying for Sky Sports HD showing as zero pounds and zero pence.
