Last Thursday I arranged to change from Sky + to Sky Q. With Sky + I had the Sky Sports HD package but in the Welcome to Sky Q messages my next bill shows the payments for SkY Q but shows 2 sports packages - Sky Sports HD and Sky Sports Complete Package. I believe the Sky Sports HD package is much better for my needs (fewer channels - we don't watch the sport much) so just checking that the Complete Package version is not automatically applied for SAP Q (ie I have no choice)
I don't want to try awful Sky phone process yet until I have more information

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @Sheila2952 Sky Sports HD is a legacy breakdown on your bill. It is not a channel package. Sky Sports Complete is you package of channels. You cannot get Sky Sports in standard definition, so the Sky Sports HD is added automatically. As the name implies, Complete is every Sky Sports channel. You are probably paying for something you don't need.

I have an issue with paying for sky sports HD . Sky sports broadcasts in HD as standard .
my contract for sky sports complete has no reference to this charge ,so therefore it shouldn't exist. I will be contacting sky to raise this issue.

SKY Sports in the UK is in HD as standard but the price you agree is split on the bill & shows SKY Sports HD as an extra item - i.e. if you are offered & accept SKY Sports for £x this will appear on your bills as SKY Sports for £y & SKY sports HD for £z where x = y+z
It is just a matter of the billing system showing it in 2 parts

Unfortunately that doesn't work for me , when yiu add sky sports it gives you a price for the package you chose , ie £22 pm ,so that is what you expect to pay . It doesn't say the billing system will add another £2 because it can . The contract is for £22 and no more .

Fair comment @Bouncerdave65 Sky Sports HD was an extra subscription before it came as standard with a Sky Sports subscription
As @nigea99 has explained your bill is offset to reflect this
So if you say £22.00 then your Sky Sports complete should be £20.00 with discounts showing and Sky Sports HD should be £2.00 with discounts showing remember not everyone pays the same for Sky Sports
If your Sky bill is showing more than £22.00 for Sky Sports Complete and Sky Sports HD then you need to ring Sky to get it rectified.

thanks for your reply ,
thsts the problem my contact is for £22 pm and I'm paying £24 pm because of the £2 HD , I would be happy if it was incorporated into the £22 pm but it isn't .

I did phone sky yesterday and was told it runs along side with sky sports which
is why I commented on here in the first place, to see if anyone else had the same problem or was it just me being picky, £2 pm isn't a lot of money but I don't like being conned.

It was quoted £22 that's my point.
