Deleting recordings

When I try to delete a recording, I get the message 

This item is currently being watched and cannot be deleted right now

does anyone know this is?

Thank you very much for this.

I've tried these and still got the same message after spending several hours, trying out things and researching things I took the technical. Nuclear option. I. E. Turned the skybox off and on and hey presto deleting the recordings worked.

Hi @rond1 

You need to press the Dismiss button (left of Home button) once or twice to exit the recording before you can delete it.

Also recordings can only be deleted from Recordings - Most recent section.

It's when you have the recording playing on another box. Simply turn the recording off of the other box and then it will allow deletion on the other

Looking at this again, the bottom line is when you have finished a recording you have to come out of that recording and click on something else so that the top left-hand panel is not showing the recording you just watched.

This is a bit of a pain.

No, none of the answers above solve the basic problem. Dismiss does not end the recording for deletion. It is a logic fault in the design of the interface which needs fixing. Simples.. stop. delete .

@FFS+MB emm it works on my box dismiss ends the recording then i can scroll down to delete and delete the recording
