Sky q mini box doesn’t work upstairs

We have a sky mini box in kitchen (works fine) one in bedroom upstairs (always worked fine till recently) now can't watch live tv without it stuttering, can't watch recordings without it stuttering for long periods and pausing unwatchable. 
process of elimination:- 

- swapped the mini boxes around to make sure it wasn't a faulty box, both boxes do same thing when plugged in in bedroom upstairs

- bought a Wifi booster, plugged in on landing, still doing it

- tried resetting box, turned off at mains, even used the secret menu and rest that way.... still doing it 

anyone had this and found out the cause / solution?

Hi @Laura+DMul 

Hope the booster you bought was a Sky Q WiFi booster?

If it was it first needs connecting to the Main Q box (or the working mini if nearer) by WPS.

Then you need to carry out a Network reset on the problem mini.

Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (or the other connected mini if nearer)  (not the mini you are resetting as the Network reset will start that mini WPS automatically).
