Constant failure to access recordings or programmes

Every time I go to watch my Sky Q I get error message:  Sorry, there are currently no programmes of this type available.
My connection is good, all apps up to date, no issues in settings.   So every time I am having to reset/reboot everything and wait for it to work.  Can't get hold of anyone to speak to and the advice online is just to reset/reboot which I am fed up with doing every time I want to watch TV

Hi @Ducey67

Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.

Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.

Resetting the settings will also reset:

Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

Re: Constant failure to access recordings or programmes

Thank you for the reply.   Unfortunately pressing 0,0,1 doesn't seem to work.   I have already tried:

reset before (twice)

updating the software (once)

re-pairing the remote (several times)

rebooting the whole thing including the hub (several times)

Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't telling me there is a technical issue with my sky Q box,  but even when I do get it working -  the next time I turn on the TV the orange light comes on and I have the same issue again.   Losing the will to live with it

Hi @Ducey67

When you say 0 0 1 doesn't work,  did you complete the Reset settings ?

ie you need to press Select after the 0 0 1

Re: Constant failure to access recordings or programmes

I am very old! I would really like to talk to a human rather than all this stuff which I find very unhelpful. My Sky Q box has been going on and off for a few weeks now and my only remedy seems to be to unplug the thing, leave it for a while then switch it back on again, but this does not work every time. When this happens I cannot access any of the Sky services you are contracted to supply and for which you continue to charge me. Can someone from Sky contact me and/or just resolve my problems.
