Connectivity problem from mini boxes to main sky q box
I have a connectivity problems with my sky mini boxes,I have one in the upstairs bedroom and one just outside my kitchen in an outside area, both boxes after a while will go off onto the blue screen and bring up connectivity issues between the main and smaller boxes, this usually lasts only seconds or the picture will freeze or pixelate then go back to normal, sky sent me a main new box but this hasn't sorted it out. When I go into sky settings it says all is ok and all connections are ok.I have bt Internet with a bt disc wifi booster would or could this be the issue? Would it be better to have a complete sky package wifi and all? This has now been goin on for a few weeks ive tried many reboots but this isnt sorting the issue any help would be appreciated as this is doing my head in.

Re: Connectivity problem from mini boxes to main sky q box
The key thing to remember @TONY19711 is that the Sky Q mini boxes get everything 'served' to them (including internet access), via the main Q box.
Most connectivity issues with minis are due to them not being able to maintain the connection to the main box as they are too far away or, interference from other devices (including potentially the BT devices). They will only ever connect directly to a router/hub provided by Sky.
Options typically are:
- Move the BT WiFi mesh away from channel 36 80Mhz used by Sky Q
- Get Sky Q boosters to improve the connection
- Get powerline adapters and take the Q WiFi mesh out of the equation
- Connect the minis to the BT disc via Ethernet and turn off its WiFi
If all of the above sounds like gibberish, contact Sky via the help pages, working through the online flow to get an engineer to come out.
