Hi @Pistol2

Try a Network Reset on the mini.
Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).

If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box. If you do this make sure you press the Sky router WPS button and not the router reset button. If you have the new Sky Max white router then you need to connect the WPS to the main Q box.

Failing all of the above you may need a Sky Q WiFi Booster to position midway between your main Q box and the mini and you will need to contact Sky directly.

Hi @Pistol2 Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on, do the same with the Mini box?

Re: Connecting to Sky mini box

Hi,

rather than post new question thought I'd search and found this one....

I have same problem, reset mini box, Q and router several times with no joy

I can connect to my Q box downstairs with my phone as all my recordings are on the Sky Go app but the box won't stay connected

is a wifi extender/mesh the answer....all though as router is immediately at the bottom of the stairs to our bedroom it shouldn't need one

cheers

Re: Connecting to Sky mini box

Nope

i had problems connect Q box to router as apparently doors and cabinets block the signal so YouFibre connected an extender on Q box now that's fine, it's just the mini box where the problem is

thanks for reply

@gypsyroadhog as \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\sky is not your broadband providers if connecting thr mini boxes by wifi you need to connect them to the main Q box by using the WPS button

Done all that many times and it does connect, the issue is maintaining the connection as it loses the signal....picture begins freezing then goes entirely with the dreaded blue screen regarding the message that there's an issue and unable to connect

@gypsyroadhog if thats the case it maybe the boxes are just on the edge of range for receiving the signal from the main box. You may need a booster to put between you main box and mini box but you need to contact Sky for this
