Chicago fire

Why does my sky q freeze up half way watching the new series of Chicago fire, happened in first 2 episodes already, have to turn box off and reset each time, but still unable to continue with episode.

Downloads or recordings? We've watched the first two episodes (recorded) without a problem.

What about the other Chicago franchise's if you record those too? Does it do the same if watching it live?

Are you recording the early morning broadcasts, if so try recording the evening ones instead to see if the same thing happens.

I've seen no other posts about recordings of Chicago Fire or indeed any recording problems of just of one programme so seems like an issue with your set up/ dish.

I had a real problem with series links and the Chicago franchise this series, namely that it would not series link. All  three shows would not pick up their series link no matter how many times i reset them. I emailed the viewers email and because apparently their series links worked fine, they couldn't help (also had an issue with Fire Country and the fact it kept setting the series link for the repeat and not the new episode funnily enough also shown on Sky Witness channel) 

 

What seemed to do the trick for me is resetting the series link for the early hours airings of the new episodes- ie 1am Friday morning etc and those links work fine for me.  So maybe instead of setting the link for the 9pm Friday evening broadcast, set the link for the 2am Friday morning airing instead and see if that helps?
