Hi- our F1 channel isn't working... it says an issue with satellite signal but other channels are working

so UHD if you have that is 406
HD is 857
SD is 864
Long term, take a look at the troubleshooting on the appropriate section of this link.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal
You may then need to contact Sky and arrange for an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. Be aware that if you’re on a communal dish system you’ll have to contact your landlord or building management company rather than Sky.

Thanks
Channel 864 (SD) is working but the HD Channel isn't.....

Yep- skyQ

I have exactly the same problem and it only happens on F1 weekends. I am using Sky Q and all my other channels work fine but Sky F1 HD sticks and freezes all the time during Live coverage. (406)
The SD channel works ok.
This is so annoying, every weekend! Clearly a Sky issue as every other channel is fine.

Not a Satellite problem (otherwise we would be flooded with posts & I wouldn't be able to watch) but a dish alignment (or communal feed) problem

@nigea99 It's not a communal dish and its not an old dish. Every other channel is ok and the F1 HD channel was ok earlier. It only seems to happen when it is Live, ie Qualifying, race.
Surely can't be dish alignment for one channel? It only started doing this a few races back and now it is every time.

Yes a dish alignement problem can show on just one transponder - it may be on several but but you may not watch the channels on them - it is possible that strong winds or similar have caused just a small movement to affect it

Working fine on my Sky Q no issues since the start of the 2023 season
No issues with the recordings either as due to work commitments have to watch it later in the evening for Sunday races @Barry10

Same thing happen to me last night as I was about to watch Miami sprint qualifying (all worked fine 2 weeks ago while watching Chinese GP)
F1 HD channel didn't work plus 2 other sports HD channels, every other HD and sports channels was fine plus F1 SD channel worked as well.
Turned out that roses grew over and blossomed in front of the Sky dish. Once removed, all channels back to normal this morning!
